Dionne Au is the Owner and Founder of D.Aldridge & Associates. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-C) who offers Social Work training services including a lisensure preparation workshop. She is a graduate from the University of Maryland at Baltimore where she earned a Masters in Social Work in 2000 with a specialty in Drug and Alcohol abuse. She also has a Bachelors in Social Work and an Associates in Paralegal Studies. She has an extensive background in child welfare, substance abuse, and mental health counseling. Juvenille Advocate in Baltimore, MD. Selma Price was born in Danville, VA where she obtained her education in Accounting and Bookkeeping. She moved to Baltimore, MD in the 80's and secured a job as an Operations Clerk for M&T Bank(Allfirst Bank) where she stayed for 20 years. At M&T Bank(Allfirst Bank), Selma served as a liaison between clients, traders, and bank personnel processing various trades such as treasury bills, treasury notes, treasury auction, and commercial paper. She is presently employed at the Baltimore City Housing Authority. She is also a Trustee at New Faith Christian Community Church in Baltimore, MD since 1987. |

Janelle Williams is the President/Founder of A Reason to Recover. She was born and raised in Baltimore City and attended Baltimore City Public and Catholic Schools. She has over 10 years of personal experience in the areas of addictions and mental health, over 7 years of management experience, and has successfully started two businesses. Through her personal experience with love ones who battled with addictions and suffered mental illnesses, she developed a true passion to be a helping professional and positive figure in the community. To realize her passion, Janelle is studying for a degree in Human Services/Management. Janelle held a position at an employee assistance program as an intake specialist and provider relations manager where she managed a network of over 7000 mental health clinicians and assisted with proposal writing. This experience taught Janelle enough to begin doing effective outreach in the community. Janelle will graduate with her B.S. in 2012. After receiving her B.S in Human Services, Janelle will continue on to the University of Maryland. Janelle does volunteer work with women in her community and from time to time facilitates workshops in the Maryland Department of Corrections. She is also a member of Women of Worth Entrepreneur Association, Inc., National Association of Professional Women and Cambridge Who's Who. Janelle is currently in the process of obtaining the Certified Prevention Specialist Certification (CPS) from Maryland Association of Prevention Specialist and Advocates (MAPPA), becoming a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor,and has completed training to become a Resource Parent in Baltimore City. As a resource parent, Janelle would be a positive role model for children in need. Janelle has always been compassionate and caring with a strong desire to help people, especially the mentally ill. She has volunteered at Maryland Food Bank and Best Buddies Maryland. Janelle will combine her education, spirituality, determination, and personal and work experience to help change the streets of Baltimore by working with homeless women who have mental disorders and suffer the disease of addictions as well as the children of those women. |
Lynwood McAllister, M.A., is a native of New York City (Harlem). Lynwood has over 20 years of experience with various social service organizations, including the NYC Department of Social Services, Volunteers of America and the Baltimore City Health Department. Lynwood served as the Project Lead( with the Mayatech Corporation) for HHS, SAMHSA, CSAP Substance Abuse Prevention, CSAT Adolescent Drug Treatment and HIV Prevention in Minority Communities. Lynwood conducted literature reviews, assisted with quantitative and/or qualitative research and analyses, assisted with the preparation of presentations and reports, conducted focus groups, assisted with the development of presentations reports for peer- reviewed journals, federal agency use, and/or presentation at professional/scientific meetings, and facilitated the gathering of information from federally funded organizations. Lynwood also served as the Director of the Baltimore City Health Department Men's Health Center, the nation's first primary care center to provide services to uninsured male residents of Baltimore City. He served as Director of the Uptown Inner-City League, Inc, a non-profit organization that provides free recreational services to youth and young adults in New York City. In Lynwood's current role as Executive Director for EBONI House, Inc. (Empowering and Building Opportunities to Nurture Independence) he spare heads the vision to address the needs for HIV/AIDS, health education and substance abuse prevention programs for youth and young adults in the Baltimore-Washington metropolitan area. Lynwood received both his B.S. in Business Administration and M.A. in Public Administration from Bowie State University. |

She has over 20 years of administrative experience from both the for profit and nonprofit sectors where she was rewarded both by compensation increases and promotions. Her passion is encompassed in collaborating with organizations that assists individuals and families to succeed in all aspects of life. She also has a passion for languages which has led to numerous opportunities to tutor and teach both adults and children Spanish and English. Beginning November 2010 at a private school in Rosedale, she will begin teaching one day a week to elementary school children on how to converse in Spanish. She has volunteered or participated in the following organizations: L.O.V.E. Inc. (Love in the Name of Christ), Child Evangelism Fellowship, T.I.M.E. for Christ Ministries, Baltimore School of the Bible and Highlandtown Elementary/Middle School #215. She is an active member of Gallery Church of Baltimore where she serves as a liaison to families that speak English and Spanish and participates in Reformers Unanimous in Rosedale MD. She has longed to return to school to prepare to serve more effectively in the field of serving others and is currently pursuing a B.A. degree in Health and Human Services from Ashford University (Clinton, IA) via their online program with a completion date of September 2014. Currently she assist Brooklyn and Curtis Bay Coalition on a part time basis by maintaining records, book keeping, and assisting in community outreach. She has agreed to be the Fundraising Consultant and to utilize her acquired skills to plan for successful events, establish relationships with donors who share A Reason To Recover Inc.'s passion and increase donor base to ensure the organization meets its established mission. Blanca is married to Samuel Tapahuasco and they have two sons ages 3 and 4 who keep her physically fit, challenged, and teach her how to trust, love and enjoy life as a child. |
